Our Prepared Environment
The basis of our work with the children is to respect oneself and one's environment, and by environment, it includes all living and non-living things. We are dedicated to help children foster an abiding curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning, which are prerequisites for creative learning. We teach the children
to learn how to learn, and to develop the
skills for independent and critical thinking. Our Montessori
children are confident, articulate and competent, embracing
tolerance for diversities of cultures, races, languages and
religions.

Development of Self Esteem
|
| |
Our philosophy on providing children freedom to choose and express directly helps them develop a positive concept of self and building self-esteem. This is a long enduring process which needs to be handled appropriately from birth. Our teachers are warm, inviting and accepting and through the looking self glass, children see themselves as important contributing individuals, and therefore securing their positive concept of self. Moreover, Montessori education is an extension of our children's home environment. Children can easily find their sense of belonging and acceptance in the environment. It is a "motherly care" that the children receive to feel comfortable and confident, enhancing their ability to learn and grow.

Our Whole Child Approach
|
| |
Children need to develop physically, socially,
emotionally and intellectually. We adopt the "whole
child" approach and ensure each child receives a
well-balance curriculum, individualized to suit the
child's needs. Children learn at their own pace, without
pressure or competition. Simultaneously, they have the
opportunity to develop habits of leadership,
self-discipline, initiative and persistence through
their guided freedom of choice and discovery.
One must not undermine the time children spend in our
Montessori classroom. Each item, gesture and word in the
classroom is carefully designed by Dr. Montessori for an
educational purpose and each teaching staff is trained
to manipulate this "directress" position to bring out
the inner child to the fullest.
